Flói Sheep is a ceramic line with Icelandic raw materials that Fanndís finds in her surroundings and uses in her artistic creations. Flói has a special characteristic of sand from the river banks of Hvítá within the clay itself. Because Fanndís lives in the countryside in Iceland surrounded by animals, the Icelandic sheep inevitably plays a big role in the environment and she has fun with creating sheep out of all sorts of materials and out of that came this line of sheep cups. She had a dream once where the women in the Woolcenter had herb colored all the sheep in the meadow. It was a colorful and pleasant dream and since then Fanndís has had the need to create sheep in all the colors of the rainbow. The Icelandic sheep are wonderful characters, funny, cute and somehow always do things you thought they couldn't do.
All the sheep are handmade and unique, no two will ever be the same. The sheep come in 7 different sizes and each one has its own charm. Size 1 is about 6-7 cm wide and 7-8 cm high Size 2 is about 9-10 cm wide and 9-11 cm high Size 3 is about 10-12 cm wide and 11-13 cm high Size 4 is about 13-14 cm wide and 13-15 cm high Size 5 is about 15-17 cm wide and 15-18 cm high Size 6 is about 18-20 cm wide and 18-22 cm high Size 7 is about 23-25 cm wide and 23-30 cm high
Flóa kindur er keramik lína með Íslenskum hráefnum sem Fanndís finnur í sínu nánasta umhverfi og nýtir í listsköpun sína. Sér einkenni Flóa er sandur úr bökkum Hvítá innan í leirnum sjálfum. Þar sem Fanndís býr í Flóahreppi og umkringd dýrum þar verður Íslenska sauðkindin óhjákvæmilega stórt hlutverk í umhverfinu og hefur hún gaman af því að skapa kindur úr ýmsum efnum og úr varð bolla lína með kindum. Draum einn hefur hún haft gaman af að láta verða að veruleika í formi leirs en hana dreymdi eitt sinn að konurnar í Ullar vinnslunni hefðu jurtalitað allar kindurnar áður en þær fóru út á tún. Þetta var litríkur og fallegur draumur og hefur verið gaman að skapa kindur í öllum regnbogans litum síðan þessi draumur átti sér stað. Íslenskar kindur eru æðilsegir karakterar, fyndin, krúttleg og enda einhvern veginn alltaf í að gera hluti sem þú taldir ekki mögulegt að þær næðu að gera.
Allar eru kindurnar handgerðar og einstakar, engin verður nokkurn tíman eins. Kindurnar koma í 7 mismunandi stærðum og hver og ein býr yfir sínum eigin sjarma.
